His paintings are oil on gesso board and his ceramics vessels are formed from a white earthenware clay which has been hand painted with under glaze colours and various oxides and then finished with a transparent glaze.

Studied glasgow school of art. The ceramics are either thrown on the wheel or hand built using a white earthenware clay fired to 1120 degrees centigrade. Initially he produced ceramics but gave that up in 2004 to paint however he has recently returned to ceramics producing work which is decorated in the same style as his paintings. 2002 onwards he worked as a full time painter and ceramicist.
